Gem Subsea can provide QA/QC inspectors to witness the testing of the following products and methods on a one off basis, as well as long term inspectors for full production:

Subsea Cables

Fabrication works

QC inspectors with a wealth of experience with both Array and Export cable – Aluminium and Copper, CCV insulation lines HV, MV, and LV, in process inspections as well as full FAT experience.

In process and well as final documentation reviews against required specification will also be provided where required.

Metalwork inspections using CSWIP 3.0 visual weld inspector, dimensional and material certificate review to specification requirements.

Fully experienced with destructive, and non-destructive testing methods.

Fibre Optic Cables

Electrical Testing

Extrusion, armouring, overfeed and FAT testing experience.

Full understanding of OTDR and dimensional testing along with documentation reviews.

Conductor Resistance, Insulation Resistance, TDR testing, along with all required dimensional testing.

Sample and type testing on completed cables to include hot set testing, tan delta testing, insulation purity, and various aging tests.
